The most dedicated dancers at Sweatshop Dance are invited to join our Company — a hand-selected group that season after season ranks among the most accomplished competitive programs in the country.
Our Mission
As one of the nation's top preprofessional dance training programs, our Company component is the perfect complement to the intensive technical and artistic training we offer weekly. The performance opportunities we curate give dancers the chance to put their skills to the test.
Though we're extremely competitive, successful, and relevant in the competition space, our true focus isn't on winning — it's on the journey. The path to performance teaches our dancers invaluable skills and life lessons. By working together to bring a singular vision to life, dancers learn to embrace one another and recognize that every contributing individual brings their own strengths to the table.
Our goal is to encourage honesty, humility, integrity, self-awareness, accountability, acceptance, and self-esteem — invaluable traits that last a lifetime, no matter which path our students ultimately choose.
The Company Dancer
Sweatshop's Company dancer is a talented and dedicated individual invested in personal growth as both an athlete and artist. Dance is hard — we're seeking dancers who enjoy the learning process, are willing to go the extra mile, and who are humble and generous enough to share the spotlight with like-minded individuals.
Teamwork makes the dream work.
The Commitment
Company dancers must be fully registered and participating students of Sweatshop's preprofessional training program, training weekly in ballet, jazz, contemporary, modern, lyrical, hip hop, and tap.
Company rehearsals take place primarily on Saturdays
Monday through Friday are dedicated class days — rehearsal never replaces class time
Sweatshop maintains a strict but manageable attendance policy and Code of Conduct
Between January and June, Company dancers perform and/or compete at 5–7 required events per season
Additional performance opportunities are available throughout the season
2026–27 is a Nationals season — a National Finals event is required this year
Nationally Recognized. Locally Trained.
Company dancers have been featured in Dance Magazine and Dance Spirit Magazine, appeared on television and in films, performed at movie premieres, danced in official Broadway productions, and performed at the Joyce Theater in New York City. They are consistently accepted into the world's top universities and dance programs.

Convention and Competition exposure encourages dancers to see beyond the scope of the studio, providing extensive opportunities to be inspired, to learn, push, and grow.
